🎯 About the Program

 

The ChessKidz Summer Camp offers students a fun, structured introduction to the world’s greatest game. Whether your child is brand new to chess or already playing tournaments, our camps offer a unique blend of instruction, gameplay, puzzles, and outdoor activities that make learning exciting and memorable.

Led by Coach Jake and the NH Chess Club team, each day is full of critical thinking, creative challenges, and good old-fashioned fun.

August 18–22 | Newmarket Rec Center  | (Afternoon) 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM | $129

🕘 Daily Schedule

9:00 – 9:30 AM | Welcome Games / Warm-Up Puzzles

9:30 – 10:00 AM | Group Lesson (Tactics, Strategy, Openings)

10:00 – 10:30 AM | Match Play / Practice Games

10:30 – 10:45 AM | Snack Break 

10:45 – 11:30 AM | Puzzle Races / Group Challenges / Movie

11:30 – 12:00 PM | Game Review / Daily Recap / Movie

Afternoon sessions follow a similar structure with adjusted start times.

🧠 Who Can Attend?

​​

  • Students entering Kindergarten through 8th Grade

  • No prior chess experience needed

  • Groups are split by skill level to ensure every child is challenged and engaged
